This is it -
It's from Fine Lines and it is, to me, the ultimate bra. It can do anything, a.k.a it is convertible.
So it can be worn be worn as a strapless, halter neck, cross-over back and regular bra. What more could you want!?
As a girl whose breasts developed quite early and quite quickly (I needed my first bra at 11 years old and they just kept growing!) I had thought I would never be able to wear anything strapless. For my year ten formal when I was 16 my Mum (who is as flat as they come, sorry Mum) took me bra shopping so I could feel comfortable in my gorgeous formal dress. The dress had spaghetti straps and I was upset because I didn't have a nice bra to wear under it. The lady at the dress shop had suggested that I go braless, but this horrified me - no support! Had she seen how big my breasts were?!
So off to David Jones Mum took me. She felt, and still feels, this is the best place to buy a good bra. She may be right because this is where we found the Fine Lines Convertible bra. Mum bought me two, a black and a white, because she was so impressed with how well they fit me.
I've been buying them ever since then and I've never been dissapointed. The give great support and are really comfortable.
The picture doesn't really do it justice as the model wearing it is clearly not in the target audience of this blog. But I wasn't going to take a photo of myself wearing it...
Price - Around $47.95 - I know it sounds pricey; but this bra is definetely worth it. Honestly. It will last a long time and looks great on. Buy it in Nougat so you can maxamise wearability.
Size Range - 10B - 16E
Colour Range - The website says it comes in Nougat, Ivory and Black, I had a white one once but I guess they just do Ivory instead now.
Other Accessories - Their are briefs in matching colours for about $15.95 each (I don't have these so I don't know what they are like).
My Scores -
Support & Comfort- 4.5/5 (it lost a half point because sometimes when I've been wearing it all night I sigh with a little bit of relief when I take it off. It may be because I need to go up a size, but it's meant to be a little bit tight, I think, so it can hold you up without the straps, for support alone I'd give it 5/5 for sure)
Overall Look - 4/5 (this is not a bra bought for looks, but for support and function - it does look good but lets face it, it's not hot pink and lacy so I can't score it too highly!)
Wearability - 5/5 (In my opinion you can wear this with anything (except for really low cut tops etc)
Website - http://www.finelineslingerie.com.au/ and you can also buy it at

Hope you liked my first review!

5 people had something to say about this:
Thank you emma!! I'm a big DD girl..sometimes even an E - and I have BIG trouble in buying comfy bras.
I had a spaghetti strap dress incident a couple of years ago and it was a nightmare. I had to buy really thin strapped bras that had no support at all really. Awkward.
will keep an eye out for this one.
p.s I started developing at 11 as well, it was horrid!
You beat me to the punch Emma, I have two of these also. Mine are Nougat and black.
I've had two skin colour ones now, and one black, it was so hard to admit my first one had died, but I'm glad I re-purchased.
I will definitely agree that while you CAN wear it all day and night, it is a relief for the sides of my ribs when its eventually off.
I agree spot on with yur scoring, but I would score Overall Look maybe 0.5 higher personally, as I do think it flatters your breasts when on, it doesn't JUST hold them up, it also shapes them nicely.
You did great on your first review Em, welcome to the fold
:)
Data - it feels great when you get a new one (but I do understand not wanting to give up the old one, I do it too (for this bra)
I was thinking about my scores today (while wearing my nogat version) and I actually thought I should have upped the Overall Look score; after you said that you think so too - I did!
So pleased you agreed with my comments and scores as I was abit nervous about my first post :-/
And Kate - so happy you're checking out this site! You'll love this bra! I went up to an E when I put on some weight and it was still great!
(yeah, it's a bit much to think that on your 21st birthday you'd been wearing bras for 10 years wint no end in sight!(I'm 23).
I've never bought one of these - but had another fine lines - Jessie? something I foret the name but HATED it...
Conical breats.
Devestation, both my nude and black in these have sort of died, apparently they're the wrong size and the foam near the wire has buckled cos my boobs are too "heavy". Went to buy a new one today in correct size, have horrid feeling thy don't make in my size. Am investigating....
