Cotton On - "Princess Lace Contour"

Very odd bra! I tried this one on after the White T-shirt racer back one, expecting probably a similar fit. WRONG.

Well. Not wrong in a good way unfortunately. Wrong in that they didn't fit in exactly the same manner, but still bad fit. This one almost had potential, as perhaps a cheap little bra designed to be worn for ten minutes before some business time, of which, hey, absolutely nothing wrong with that in my book! But you couldn't wear it to dinner before your sexy time, in preperation for an immediate strip tease back home, it just wouldn't support you that long.

It actually had a really interesting design in that there was heaps of support on the undersides of the breasts, on the outer toward the armpit , succeeding in lifting and giving Va-voom factor, but you would spill out the top eventually (say, after more than ten minutes wearing it). Massive cleavage factor, which was kind of cool, but just not practical. And unfortunately, that's just not enough for us big boob gals.

Price: $10.00 (on sale) RRP $19.95

Size range 8 - 14DD

Colour Range- range of colours available from white, black, the one above is called "Fluoro Purple" even though it looks like a hot pink. It comes in a ton of other colours also.
Other accessories- This range of bras comes with matching hi cut lace "skimpy" style panties in all colours.

Cotton On Body - Essential T-Shirt with Racer back clip

cotton on, originally uploaded by dataceptionist.

This was my first foray into Cotton On Body to actually think about buying something for day-to-day wear. My only other experience with the store was a hasty trip before a dirty weekend away to buy something sexy, and cheap.
The prices are one of the reasons to have a look at Cotton On Body, they're incredibly cheap by market comparison. The thing that will probably bring you into the store however is the colour and variety. Everything is coloured and patterned, which is a nice change to Bras N Things (but they're getting there too)

This bra was terrible, I think it probably works well as a small bust bra, but they didn't really allow for the fuller nature of the bust in the larger size. The sales girl readily admitted they're just branching into the larger cups so maybe there is hope in the future.

Price: $19.95

Size range 8 - 14DD

Colour Range- range of colours available from white, black, nude, pink, aqua, purple (two shades) and peach.
Other accessories- This range of bras does come with matching briefs in a "seamless" style in most colours.

Ultimate Body "Smooth Operator" Strapless Bra

Aside from singing "Smooth Operator" every time I put this bra on, I also always have an internal happy thought at the discovery of this bra.
I now wear halter neck tops, boob tubes and strappy tops where once I didn't. It has opened a new clothing avenue.
The molded cups support and cup without enveloping your boobs to the point which eliminates the need for a strapless anyway.
The adhesive plastic film on the inside is quite robust, making it almost a struggle to get on! But well and truly support when the time comes.
It is convertible accommodating halter, crossed back, standard and STRAPLESS.
I find this bra so amazing that I wear it strapless even when the need does not call, like for a halter top.
It can be worn all day without losing it's grip - but I still find the occasional unattractive "bra hoik" is required to realign everything.
If they ever stop making this bra and the "Anna" I will be lost at sea without a paddle. It is my lifesaver - part two.

Down side; sadly like "Anna" the "Smooth Operator" comes in a exceedingly limited colour range, skin and black - but as a utilitarian bra these are really they only requirements.

Price: $39.95
Stockists: Ultimate Body is available exclusively through Bras N Things, for stores visit the website or BNT are available to buy online.
Size range: 10B to 16E
Other accessories: Short stories make panties and G's

Not a DD+, more like the whole alphabet

My goodness.
I look at this woman and I see a beast of burden, I cannot even imagine HOW her back feels or how she sleeps without suffocating herself or partner.
Just think when you're back gets tense... it could be worse.

Simone Perele "Marquises" Push Up Bra

Two things come into mind for this review:
  1. Do DD+ need to be pushed up
  2. And does Simone Perele have to do it?

In the interest of this blogs well being I decided to go bra shopping tonight. Strictly in the interest of... brascience you understand.
Having never tried on a push up bra owing to the fact I thought there was no need I was pleased to see this bra did not make me look all breast.

It's sexy, gives you're girls a boost and still sheer enough not to create any lumps or bumps under clothing. The fine lace is embroidered with lotus flowers, and the seperated straps have a little flower on them joining the straps.

Colours: White, Black, Navy (pictured & purchased), Skin and Light Pink

Price: $108.00 ** Purchased for $84.00 at Factory Outlet.

Website: http://www.simone-perele.com/

Stockists: Simone Perele brand is available through major department stores, Myer and David Jones, there are also Simone Perele stores & Parramatta Brand Smart building has a factory outlet.

Other accessories: They make several panties; G-String, Bikini and a Fuller Lace Bikini (pictured above)

Scores:
Comfort- 3 /5 ** Note have purchased bra - not worn all day
Look - 5 /5
Wearability - 3/5

Pretty Sports Bras, but not for us.

15052008, originally uploaded by dataceptionist.

Target has a new range of Sports bras I discovered last night. They're so colourful! So Fun!
Of course they don't even reach a D, let alone a DD.
Why?! Fuller busts don't exercise!!??
GAH!

Short Stories "Anna" Microfibre T Shirt Bra

The "Anna" Microfibre balconette contoured hidden under wire bra is my lifesaver.
As a TShirt bra, importantly but not exclusively it gives you the smooth lines underneath a smart business shirt or clingy jumper that makes this bra worth it's price.
In addition once the shirt comes off, I might add it holds it's own looking like a fairly sexy little number - giving enough support and LIFT to look and feel incredible.
When fitted properly (and I CANNOT stress this point enough) it will 100% contain any difficult side boob, double boob issues.
Down side; sadly "Anna" only comes in skin tone. I would adore it to come in every colour under the sun but you have to take the good with the bad.
Price: $39.95
Stockists: Short Stories is available exclusively through Bras N Things, for stores visit the website or BNT are available to buy online.
Size range: 10B to 16DD
Other accessories: Short stories make panties and G's in

Kayser "Brazilian" Moulded Full Lace

Sometimes, you just bag a winner. I love this bra. In reviewing it, I'm trying to figure out why I don't own more of them? I remember when they were released rejoicing that finally women with larger cups could buy well priced pretty lacy bras. Great support, great comfort factor. They are a moulded style (Not padded though) like a T-shirt bra, but lacy.
Great colour range, with new colours each season, and they're cost efficient enought to own a wardrobe's worth. There is no double-boob in this bra (spilling out the top of the cups) nor out the bottom of the cups. Good strap style, suitable for strappy singlet tops, and in the range of colours available, if you can see the straps its not such a disaster.

Website
-http://www.kayserbrazilian.com.au/
I apologise in advance, their website is incredibly sluggish to navigate.

Stockists
can be found on the Kayser website, although I found this feature a bit clunky. A better bet, (and cheaper) will probably be your local Big W, find locations for your nearest store at http://www.bigw.com.au/stores.asp.

Size range
appears to be 8-14 and they have apparently just released new colours and styles to cater up to E.
As its Big W though, be aware that of course they won't carry a lot of stock in the higher cups.

Other accessories- Happily there is quite the range of other items, including several styles of undies and G's, chemises and nightgowns, in the full gamut of colours.

Scores
Support & Comfort- 5 /5
Overall Look - 5 /5
Wearability - 5/5

Price Range
- $0- $25
