Today's Woman range from Slimform

I apologise in advance for the dodgy photos - they were taken by me, on my phone, either in the change room or on a hanger.
The website isn't quite complete yet so I couldn't get professional images.
But trust me when I say - all 3 styles are really quite pretty.

This one is the Floral Embroidered Plunge Bra:

It also comes in a full cup Floral Embroidered Underwire Bra:

I tried on the plunge bra in this style.
Support & Comfort- 2 / 5
Its a little hard to see in the photos, but the straps on the plunge style are two thin black straps on each side. There is only quite a short area to adjust length and I found the straps too tight, even when fully extended. They also cut in a bit given that the straps are no elasticised.

However the bra is not itchy from the embroidery.

Overall Look - 4 / 5
Its a very pretty bra - I especially like the sheer fabric used at the back but wonder if it might stretch quickly with wear?

Wearability - 3/ 5
The detailed embroidery is a bit visible through tops - I'm personally not a fan of lumpy boobs. Also, the straps are not multi-directional.

Next is the Plunge Bra with Lace Trim:

It also comes in a full cup underwire style:

I tried on the plunge bra in this style.
Support & Comfort- 4 /5
This bra was very comfortable - the primary fabric being soft and stretchy.
Overall Look - 3 / 5
Not as pretty as the others but still nice. The back of the bra is a solid fabric which looks more durable than the sheer on the previous style.
Wearability - 4 / 5
I think this style is the most wearable as it is the least detailed - however the lace seam is visible under fitted clothing. Again- shame about the non-multi directional straps
Finally, we have the printed bra which offers shape and support (I'm going off the descriptions on the tags here).
I did not see any alternative styles in this patten.
Support & Comfort- 4 / 5
Pretty comfortable. The straps do not have a huge range to adjust length, but its much better than the first bra. A bit of give in the fabric is good too.

Overall Look - 4 / 5
This bra is very pretty, but when its on, I found that the lace panel was too wide, and looked a bit odd. All of the floral/stripe pattern is sort of hidden on the underneath - which is a shame cause I think that's the nicest bit!

Wearability - 3/ 5
A lot of seams are visible though fitted clothing when wearing this bra - the horizontal lace seam as well as the vertical stripes. A little bit of texture from the lace as well.
Price - $19.86 - same price for both plunge and full cup styles
Size Range -
Plunge:
14-18 C, D, DD, E,
20 C, D, DD
22-24 D, DD
Full Cup:
10-20 C, D, DD
22-24 D, DD
I'm disappointed with the size range considering that this brand is marketing towards larger busted women. Why can't the full cup bra be made to fit an E, F or higher?

Colour Range - Only one colour combo per style - as far as I could tell anyway.
Other Accessories - According to the label on the tags, it appears that each of these styles comes with matching briefs although I couldn't find any of them in the store.
Stockists - Big W and Best & Less

Coolmax Sportsbra by Intimo

The picture of fitness that I am, I'm always after a good sports bra. I do dancing and body pump - swinging all over the place is not my idea of fun. On the recommendation of my Intimo lady, I gave the new style with the wide band around the ribcage a go (the black one on the right in the picture). The Intimo lady thought this was the most supportive sportsbra she's ever worn (but then, she would say that). I've gotta say, I don't really agree. For starters, this bra is not an underwire bra, so it supports more by generally strapping the girls in.
And I have found that the wide elastic band rolls up into a thin elastic roll. This is not uncomfortable at all, but it manages to annoy me anyway.

That said, the straps can be worn directly over the shoulder or crossed over at the back which is a feature I'm a fan of. I prefer a crossover back sportsbra generally to avoid the issue of straps slipping off shoulders, but its always nice to have the option.

Support & Comfort
- 3 / 5
This is hard to rate. It is a supportive bra, and its not uncomfortable, but I do prefer an underwire.

Overall Look - 3 / 5
Its not bad, considering its not really a bra designed to be looked at. You get a solid cleavage line as the bra kind of squishes you down but the cups sit high so there's no over-the-top bulging.

Wearability
- 4/ 5
Its quite versatile, and comfortable enough that I wear it relatively often even when not exercising. Because the bra does not separate your boobs, but rather presses them together, it can actually make some clothing (especially work shirts I find) sit just that bit better (and assists with button-gaping issues).

Price
- $69.50 which is a little more than I'd ideally value it at, but I don't feel ripped off.

Size Range
- 32-34A-DD, 36-38B-DD, 40C-DD - not really a very big range for the big busted girl, however Intimo's other sportsbra goes up to a 46EE.

Colour Range -
Black and White

Other Accessories
-
Nope.

Candid - Fayreform (balconette) REVIEW

As my post below, really excited to finally own this bra. The only thing that could make me love it more, would be to swap the colours and have a hot pink lace with black embroidery. When I first got fitted to figure out if I had been sized correctly by Intimo, this was the bra I tried on. Ever since then I've been halfheartedly trying to buy one. Only half heartedly because I wasn't real thrilled with the colours available. So I was OVER THE MOON when I discovered they had a new colour for summer.
Support & Comfort- 5 / 5
Fantastic.
Overall Look - 4.5 / 5
Very pretty. Lose half a point because it is sort of high cut when you have very full cups. Also it is advertised as balconette for "cleavage".

MINE ALL MINE! So excited. I finally found somewhere to buy this, in my size, in the Balconette. I had to ring Fayreform direct to find out who it had been supplied to, but the girl I spoke to was SO helpful, she was just lovely.

So, here it is, in my underwear drawer. Hehehe

Sexy Babydoll with support for large busts

While searching for something entirely different, I stumbled upon another product that would be suitable for anyone with a DD or bigger bust wanting something sexy for Valentine's Day this weekend. If I hadn't already chosen something else after the last disastrous selection I would be all over this like white on rice, I tell you.
The OPULENCE line by POUR MOI, a UK based brand, is simply divine looking. With several pieces in the collection, the thing that caught my eye was the Baby Doll
The most amazing feature of this piece is that there is a proper bra built into it, with gel lining, giving fantastic cleavage I imagine. With sizing between 8B (30B) to 16F (38F) there is hope our breasts can be shown to full advantage in these little outfits after all.
Other items available at www.figleaves.com a UK site, include:
 PLUS a Bra
  plus of course the bottoms
  G-string and Shorty.
Babydoll and bottoms all available at BellaForma in Australia, FigLeaves in the UK and US

Support & Comfort

Overall Look - 3 / 5
*losing points mostly due to strap-age and no cleavage.
Wearability
- 5 / 5

This bra is GOOD, but not great, on several levels. It has fairly wide straps, so it can't be worn with a spaghetti strap singlet, but it IS very comfortable and wonderfully supprtive. It scores a 5 for wearability as its fantastic on, and a great everyday bra, even though its lacy.
I would definitely recommend, and it scores points for being a good line under a shirt, seperating the breasts without sending them under your pits.
This is one of the bras I took to Europe with me and it served me well, and continues to do so.
Price - RRP $74.95

Size Range
- Can't find, however I think it will be 10-18 D-G

Colour Range -

I bought it at Myer on Sale, and I've had trouble finding it online to buy (to link to), however you may have better luck at the major retailers instore.

The point of this post is to say that this gorgeous bra has been released in a new colour. Unfortunately however, I can't find a good picture of it to bring over, so I will link to the best one I can find, at ezibuy.co.nz where you can even hover of the image for a close up of the beautiful embroidery detail.
This bra is fantastic, I have been waiting patiently to see if it was going to be released in a new colour for summer, as the black and cream and the chocolate and coral didn't really interest me much.

Both Balconette and regular Underwire are availble at Zodee, but their sizing appears more limited in the Balconette.
Limited Sizing availble at Ezibuy (nothing at the extremes, like my size for eg)
Bras.co.nz has a good range and hopefully major Fayreform retailers as well. I'm off in search to buy one right now!

Valentine's Day Offerings

After my husband subtley hinted at a particular corset type outfit from Bras N Things that he might like to see me in, rather than simply dismiss the idea outright, I took myself in and tried it on.
Eeek! Abort abort!
I CANNOT recommend it as a working solution for anyone of a DD cup size. In fact I think it only caters to breasts up to a B. There is no support in it, and I have to say when I tried it on, the effect was simply nothing short of ridiculously comical.

Storm in a D Cup

Firstly a welcome to our newest contributor, K, of The Life and Times of K.We hope you enjoy her posting and her viewpoint as much as we do.
-Dataceptionist

Have you heard of this company?

Storm in a D Cup is an online store who stock bras in sizes from a D-cup onwards (all the way to an L! - although not in every style).
They stock bras from well-known brands like Freya, Elle MacPherson and Triumph.

The website offers a good range of everyday bras, sports bras, maternity bras, swimwear and sleepwear.
And... (wait for it...) pretty bras! I don't know about you, but at a DD-E its nearly impossible to find a supportive, comfy bra that doesn't make me feel 'matronly'.

Check some of these out:
This is the "Antique Rose Minimizer" from Triumph.

Its sized from a 10 to 18, Cup DD to G.

There's a matching brief and g-string too (*sigh* - I heart sets)

Or this one, which is the "Isabella Lace Bra"by Le Mystère.

This one is sized from a 10 to 16, cup-sized D, E and F (no DD? - bizarre) and has a matching g-string too.

Storm in a D-Cup are currently offering a $5 discount voucher if you sign up to their monthly newsletter (so I did).

Because its an online store, fitting is always going to be a bit tricky. There's a link on the site to a Fitting Guide, and there's also a 100% exchange/return policy within 30 days.

There is a store in Bondi Junction (fittings by appointment only), but what I really love about this set up, is that they have your size. I always get the cranks when I find a bra I love, and its made in my size, and its not on the rack! ARGH! I'll order online to get what I want any day.

The bras aren't the cheapest (department store prices) but for the sheer convenience, I'm willing to give it a go.

I haven't actually ordered anything from this website yet, but as soon as my $5 voucher comes through I'll be placing an order. And I promise to blog about the result.

Have you had any experiences (good or bad) with Storm in a D-Cup? Let us know on the comments page.

Facelift

People...

Its time for a facelift here at DDD ... I had always dreamed of creating something beautiful and sexy and lacy myself but it's not going to happen.

I say we need to scour all templates available and change it up...
What say you?

Tahlia Lace Contour Bra by Short Stories

I was fairly pleasantly surprised by this bra actually. After admiring it on the model, I almost automatically ruled it out due to sizing but entered the shop anyway.

Buying a pretty bra IN A STORE usually ensues plarva that is unsurpassed.

Support & Comfort- 4 / 5
Very sufficent indeed, I thought the seemingly flimsy straps would not be up to the job.
But so far after a dozon (? or so) washes it's still in good nick indeed.
Although... perhaps don't go on an ocean extream adventure as I did in it?

Overall Look - 5 / 5
Going out on a limb here, but I think it's... well perfect. Looks good on, breasts well covered and supported. What more could I ask for?
I keep meaning to rip off the obnoxious bow but that's my only qualm.

Wearability - 4.5/ 5
I wear this one alot. Gives me a good enough line to wear it under most things, and is sexy enough to wear out at night and feel good about myself!

Price - $45.00 on from Bra's N Things

Size Range - 10D-18E

Colour Range - Black & Misc... mine is Black and purple but the website seems only to have black but I've seen black and aqua and black and baby pink in stores.

Other Accessories - Satin Trim Boyleg and Mini V String

Shameless Dream Strapless Bra by Le Mystere Lingerie

So the hunt for a new strapless bra continues. I'm depressed that walking through my local shopping mall hasn't yielded a purchase yet. So I settle into my laptop and shop with my fingers. Having had a small degree of success with Zodee.com.au, and knowing they will at least carry my size I hit up their website again. Sadly choices are limited. *sigh*

I settle for the Shameless Dream Strapless Bra by Le Mystere, a brand I've never heard of before, but looks fancy. Its expensive. The only piece of lingerie I have that cost more is my torsolette I bought for under my wedding gown. Expectations are high......

Support & Comfort
- 3 / 5
Hmm, not good. Not horrid, but not great.

Overall Look - 4 / 5
It really is a shame I'm not loving it as the fabric is quite lovely and the colour is ok.

Wearability
- 3 / 5
I'm not keeping it. For the price, frankly I want more. I want to LOVE it. I HAVE to love it, to justify the cost to myself. While not the ugliest and most ill-fitting thing I've ever put on, I just.... don't....want to keep it.

Price
- $85.00 on Zodee, or if You're a member you can get it for $80.75.

- 10DD-18F

Colour Range -

Catalina Strapless Lace Full Cup Underwire Bra - BnT

So my strapless bra sort of died. It was beginning to buckle in the foam underneath the cup, just above the underwire and eventually I had to face the fact that it simply didn't fit anymore. It seemed like it did, but my enormous bosoms were simply too heavy for the poor thing. I've currently got 2 x Fine Lines Strapless numbers, reviewed last year by PrincessEmma. So off I went in search of one in my size.

ARRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

It was with great dismay I discovered that this bra doesn't go up to F. (I should have looked at Em's review, which clearly states the cups only go B-E, but it never occurred to me that this "old faithful" of mine wouldn't go to F!)

I've had I think 5 of these bras over the years in black and nougat, first discovering them in about 2000 when a friend bought one for her wedding. After no luck with Fine Lines I resigned myself to having to go out in search of a strapless bra for big boobs....

Support & Comfort
- 1 / 5
No support.

Overall Look - 0.5 / 5
Horrid! It sort of pancaked my boobs in a most unattractive way.

Wearability
- 0 / 5
As soon as I put it on, I took it off virtually. It wasn't a maybe, it just wasn't. It sat too low on the breast-line, and while pancaking me, cut me off above the nipple. Its hard to describe. Its not that it didn't fit properly, I suspect it did. But it made a small double boob in trying to be tight enough with the support.

Price
- $39.95. Disappointing this didn't work because its SO affordable.

Size Range

Polkadot - Beautiful by Triumph

I've literally just purchased this bra and I'm thrilled with the fit. I'm wearing it right now as I type.
Beautiful is a story by Triumph of larger bras for "curvy" women that are still pretty and sexy. I must say I think they've nailed it mostly.

Support & Comfort
- 5 / 5
Fantastic fit, really pleased.

Overall Look - 4.5 / 5
Great look, very pretty and makes my boobs look great.

Wearability
- 5 / 5
At this point, no problems, quite snug and don't feel like I'm going to pop out at all.

Price
- $59.99 rrp but if you're quick, DJ's has 30% off in the post Christmas sales.

Size Range
- 10-18 DD-G (Hell yeah for supporting larger cups!)

Colour Range -
The colours shown above only.

Other Accessories
-
A "Hikini" brief only, shown above which is a bit of a bummer, would have liked a G. Sizes S-XL
